Simplified Operator Screen
Reconditioning 25 Hydraulic rice cake presses with 3 different product configurations all while working with no PLC program descriptors and no electrical schematics was quite a challenging project. Our controls staff reversed engineered the electrical system while a complete and thorough mechanical rebuild was completed. After discussions with the client and operations staff we found several points of improvement. The primary of these was to remove the double rod cylinder and reed switches and replace it with a single rod cylinder with a linear position transducer. This allowed for repeatable adjustments to be made on the operator touch screen and increase the reliability of the machine overall.
